ABSTRACT The objective of this research work was to determine the concentration of arsenic in irrigated water for rice cultivation in the province of pacasmayo - la libertad 2024, for which sampling was carried out to obtain the average concentration of the analyte. using the method of atomic absorption spectroscopy with a graphite furnace to obtain results. 36 water samples were processed, which were located in four areas and two main canals that irrigate the sector. the minimum, maximum and average concentrations found were: in zone i 0.0153mg/l; 0.0157 mg/l; 0.0155 + 0.0002 mg/l; zone ii 0.0168 mg/l; 0.0172 mg/l; 0.0170 + 0.0001 mg/l, zone iii 0.0165 mg/l; 0.0166 mg/l; 0.0168 + 0.0003 mg/l, zone iv 0.0163 mg/l; 0.0174 mg/l; 0.0169 + 00005mg/l. in channel i 0.0158 mg/l; 0.0172 mg/l 0.0157+ 0.0007 mg/l; channel ii 0.063 mg/l; 0.073 mg/l; 0.0168 + 0.0004mg/l. concluding that the final average obtained for the concentration of as was 0.0165 + 0.0004 mg/l, being within the permitted limits according to the food and agriculture organization of the united nations (fao).
