ABSTRACT The present work of investigation denominated "Design of the System of Drinking Water and Basic Saneamiento in the hamlet of Alisopata, district of José sabogal, province san marcos, department Cajamarca", has developed to contribute to improve the quality of life with regard to the hygiene and healthiness of the inhabitants of the community of Alisopata, so the objectives of the research are to design and size the different components of the drinking water and basic sanitation system in the community of Alisopata, developed in a manner consistent with a methodology based on field work, cabinet work, recommendations of the National Regulation of Buildings and the Guide of Technical Options for Water Supply and Sanitation for Concentrated Populations of the Rural Scope of the Ministry of Housing, Sanitation and Construction. All the process indicated, leading to obtain satisfactory results of the research, as well as in the design of a hillside-type catchments, line of conduction of 4255.9 linear meters, 1 pressure breaker type 07, a reservoir of 9.5 m3, a booth of valves, distribution network with 35036.5 linear meters of SAP PVC pipe, corresponding to the drinking water system, in turn, the design of the basic sanitation components was obtained, such as the 700-liter biodigester, a 0.6-meter wide sludge log box, a length of 0.6 meters and a height of 0.30 meters, an infiltration field with 2 linear meters and finally, some sustainability criteria were recommended for good management and proper use of the potable water and basic sanitation system.
