ABSTRACT This thesis was conducted with the aim of analyzing occupational safety and health, as well as their repercussions on the quality of life of public cleaning workers in the Provincial Municipality of Pacasmayo during the year 2021. The sample population consisted of 40 public cleaning workers. Various methods were employed to carry out this research, including ethnographic, deductive, inductive, and statistical approaches, allowing for the examination of the phenomenon from multiple perspectives. The survey technique was used as the primary tool for data collection, with the aim of obtaining precise and relevant information to facilitate a thorough analysis. The results obtained from this research suggest that inadequate practices in occupational safety and health, evidenced by non-compliance with safety regulations (limited opportunities for capacity building, insufficient use of personal protective equipment), as well as an aggressive work environment (characterized by poor leadership, deficient interpersonal relationships, and an underdeveloped organizational culture), negatively impact the quality of life of workers and their job performance in the public cleaning sector of the Provincial Municipality of Pacasmayo. It is concluded that the implementation of effective safety and occupational health standards and protocols is crucial for improving workers' well-being and, consequently, their performance in public service. This research proposes practical recommendations for improving working conditions, highlighting the importance of a comprehensive approach that includes the active participation of workers and institutional authorities in identifying risks and formulating solutions.
