ABSTRACT In this report of pre-professional practices, a descriptive, cross-cutting study was carried out with the objective: Determining biochemical parameters in young people and adults of the town center Nepeña district of Nepeña– Santa, July 2019 - January 2020. With a population of 70 participants applying a survey to the villagers who came to the pharmaceutical office. Upon signature of informed consent, samples were collected using the Accu-Check glucometer for glucose determination and for biochemical testing of Hemoglobin (Hb) and Hematocrit (Hto), the automated photocolorimetric method was used. In addition, data such as weight and size were collected for obtaining the Body Mass Index (BMI). In glucose determination, 49 people (70%) had normal glucose levels, while 21 people (30%) high glucose levels. Depending on the sex, 71.43% of the female sex were normal, 28.57% high values. And of the male sex 66.67% had normal glucose values and 33.33% high values. Depending on age, of the 21 people with glucose increased by 95.24% are in adulthood (30-59 years) and 4.76% in the young age group (18-29 years) high glucose. 14 participants (20% of the population) were determined with decreased haemoglobin, 64.29% (45 participants) normal values of Hemoglobin Corpuscular Media (CHCM). The population under study had different biochemical parameters than normal.
