The present research aimed to determine the influence of nonverbal language on interpersonal relationships among first-year high school students at I.E. Nacional Casa Grande in the year 2023. This study employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational design. A survey on nonverbal communication and interpersonal relationships was conducted with a census sample of 130 students from grade 1, spanning sections "A" to "G". Results indicate a predominant level of moderate development in nonverbal language, representing 83.1%. Additionally, in terms of interpersonal relationship development, 80.3% are at a high level, while 16.2% are at a moderate level. Therefore, a correlation between both variables is established. Furthermore, interpersonal relationships, social skills, and leadership style show that approximately 42.8% to 43.7% of the variability in these areas can be explained by nonverbal language. Thus, these findings indicate that nonverbal language plays a crucial role in the development of interpersonal, social, and leadership skills among first-year high school students at I.E. Nacional Casa Grande. Finally, proposals were presented for both the school's administrative sector and teachers to implement targeted strategies in nonverbal communication, both in face-to-face and remote settings.
