ABSTRACT The present thesis aims to determine the relationship between socioemotional well-being and quality of life of older adults in the palliative care center of Centro Poblado Alto Trujillo, during the year 2023. A descriptive research approach will be employed, using surveys, observations, analysis of existing data, and interviews to analyze the socioemotional well-being and quality of life of the older adult population in this setting. The target population will be 25 older adults, according to Trujillo records in 2023. Preliminary results highlight a high percentage of older adults who express feeling sadness permanently (44%), anxiety due to their age (56%) and feeling depressed (48%). However, it is also observed that the majority are satisfied with their social relationships, such as being satisfied with their friends (52%) and their partner (96%), as well as maintaining an adequate relationship with their neighbors (92%). In addition, a significant proportion of respondents report having enough energy to carry out their daily activities (52%). In conclusion, it is evident that the relationship between socioemotional well-being and quality of life of older adults in the hospice is significant (p < 0.05).
