In this project the objective is to implement a chess video game for Android mobile devices using augmented reality and 3D models. To this end, the development of the mobile video game will be aimed at allowing interaction of one player against another remotely, which will be achieved using Unity and Vuforia engines for augmented reality features. The implementation of the video game will allow us to project a virtual chess board on a real-world surface where players will be able to manipulate the pieces from the screens of their mobile devices. The analysis and interpretation on the investigation of technologies of augmented reality on mobile devices, connectivity between devices and 3D modeling will be essential for the correct development of the functions that will be used in the project under development. Finally, the implementation, deployment and validation of the video game will be oriented towards user entertainment through augmented reality, requiring the only step to be manual installation for the user and for the application configurations to be carried out automatically.
