The purpose of this research study was to analyze the perceptions of physical education teachers about their continuing education in a private school in San Miguel - Lima. To this end, we began with the various contributions in the definition of continuing teacher training and its characteristics, from which we derived the learning contexts in which it is possible to carry out continuing training once the university stage is over. In this sense, we proceeded to explain the reasons that allow the development of continuing teacher education. In addition, this made it possible to learn about the different models of continuing education and experiences in physical education in Latin America and Spain. This study was approached from a qualitative approach using the phenomenological method. A semi-structured interview was used to collect information, the appreciation that each teacher attributes to continuing education in his or her professional career and the benefits it brings over time. These interviews were conducted with four physical education teachers. The information obtained was captured in a matrix, which allowed its subsequent analysis. From the analysis and discussion of the results, it is concluded that the teachers had to choose a specialty that responds to their preferences for teaching within the field of physical education and which they considered they could make a career line; likewise, they express their desire to continue training in the field of physical education.
