The academic work was carried out in the emergency service of the María Auxilidora Hospital, 2019, with head injury in the elderly, applying the nursing care process as a work tool supported by several bibliographic sources, which illustrates us from an initial assessment. secondary, with all its stages of clinical presentation, types of injury, classification of them, medical treatment to the surgical possibility and nursing care, The work is based on the use of a scientific methodology of nursing care in brain trauma patients cranial, with the purpose of instituting protocols of attention in the emergency services based on evidences, from recognizing the injuries that are generated that can be transitory or permanent, precautions regarding the mobilization to mobilize, the protection of the airways, replacement of fluids, neurological evaluation, avoid ayor harm. Finally, the nursing care must respond to the patient's human responses in an assessment, nursing diagnoses, nursing work planning, then perform the nursing interventions and finally the evaluation of nursing work as a global process based on the indicators, finally formulate conclusions and recommendations.
