The general objective of the research was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and practices on complementary feeding of mothers of children aged 6-12 months. The work was descriptivecorrelational, not experimental whose population and sample was 61 people. For data collection, we used two questionnaires: for the first variable, level of knowledge, the reliability was 0.852 and for the second variable, practices on complementary feeding was 0.852. The results were as follows: The level of knowledge about complementary feeding is at the middle level (41%) and its dimensions: hygiene practice is adequate in 35 (57.4%) and practices in food preparation Complementary is inadequate in 38 (62.3%). The conclusion was that there is a direct and significant relationship between the level of knowledge and practices on complementary feeding of mothers of 6-12 months in the health center Roque, Moyobamba according to Rho de Sperman (Rho = .800 **). It is recommended that the health department carry out supplementary feeding programs for mothers who have young children included in these ages so that they can make known the nutritional balance needed.
