The objective of this research was to correlate the variables of nursing care quality and level of satisfaction of patients in the emergency area, University Hospital of Piura, the study is correlational type, application level, an inductive method and design experimental cross section. The study population consisted of 180, sample of 123, the technique was the survey and the instrument, a questionnaire for both variables, which were adapted by the researcher, were subjected to the evaluation of four Expert Judges, obtaining a validity of p = 0.001, later the pilot test was applied to 30 patients, with which a Crombach's alpha of 0.992 was obtained, the results were; descriptive, 61% corresponds to patients from 16 to 35 years old, 56.1% to men, 50.4% to married, 61.8% to poor nursing care, 49.6% to regular in the interpersonal dimension, 54.5% to regular in the technical dimension, 63.4% poor, with a Rho correlation of Spearman 0.333, which indicates a low correlation between nursing care and patient satisfaction variables, with a bilateral significance of 0.000. Concluding, that there is a positive and low correlation between both variables, the main recommendation is to the nurses of the emergency area of the University Hospital of Piura, who continue to improve strategies in the care of the patient with quality and warmth.
