This research addresses a problem that is expressed in the following question: How can financial accounting facilitate decision making in the large commercial companies of Metropolitan Lima? Given the problem, the solution is proposed through the formulation of the hypothesis: Financial accounting facilitates decision making in the large commercial companies of Metropolitan Lima. This work has been oriented to the following objective: To determine how financial accounting can facilitate decision making in the large commercial companies of Metropolitan Lima. Research is applied; of the descriptive-explanatory-correlational level; we used the descriptive, deductive and inductive methods. The design is non-experimental. The population consisted of 106 large commercial enterprises and 140 people and the sample was formed by 10 large commercial companies and 100 people. The type of sampling applied is probabilistic sampling. The techniques used for data collection were surveys. The instrument used was the questionnaire. The following information analysis techniques were applied: document analysis, inquiry, data reconciliation, tabulation, chart comprehension. The following data processing techniques were applied: sorting and sorting, manual registration, computerized Excel process and computerized process with SPSS. The most important result is that 80 percent of the respondents accept that financial accounting facilitates decision making in the large commercial companies of Metropolitan Lima.
