Abstract: La presente investigación tiene como objetivo general describir el nivel de la
adicción al internet en adolescentes de 13 a 18 de Lima Metropolitana. La
investigación es de tipo descriptivo y el diseño es no experimental de corte
transversal; por lo que tanto la muestra como la población estuvo conformada por
80 adolescentes de ambos sexos, 10 mujeres y 70 hombres en las cabinas de
internet que se encuentran dentro de Lima Metropolitana. Se utilizó el instrumento:
Test de Adicción al Internet que tiene como confiabilidad un 0,876% en la costa del
Perú; el cual mide cuatro dimensiones o factores que son tolerancia, uso excesivo,
retirada o abstinencia y consecuencias negativas. Como resultado se obtuvo que
los adolescentes presentan una adicción al internet con un nivel “Muy Alto” con un
35% (28) de ellos, un nivel “Alto” con un 33,8% (27) de ellos, un nivel “Medio” con
un 28,8% (23) de ellos y un nivel “Bajo” con un 2,5% (2) de los adolescentes.
The purpose of this research is to describe the level of internet addiction in adolescents from 13 to 18 in Metropolitan Lima. The research is descriptive and the design is not experimental cross-sectional; Therefore, both the sample and the population were made up of 80 adolescents of both sexes, 10 women and 70 men in the Internet booths located within Metropolitan Lima. The instrument was used: Internet Addiction Test which has a reliability of 0.876% on the coast of Peru; which measures four dimensions or factors that are tolerance, excessive use, withdrawal or withdrawal and negative consequences.
