The objective of this work was to determine the effect of Tripartite Passiflora (Tumbo serrano) and Honey of Apis mellífera of the JEMA Agar in the detection of Trichophyton rubrum. The fruit of the Tumbo serrano was collected in the District of Huayucachi, Huancayo Province, Junín Region and the Honey used was collected in the Peasant Community of “Pargay” which is located in the Chuquibambilla District of the Province of Grau, Department and Region Apurímac. In the phytochemical evaluation, carbohydrates, isoflavones, anthocyanins and alkaloids in the serrano tumbo and carbohydrates, phenolic compounds, triterpenoid alkaloids and glycosides in honey were presented in greater proportion. 40 cultures were carried out with Trichophyton rubrum ATCC 28188, distributed according to the type of culture medium: 10 Sabouraud Agar, 10 Serrano Tumbo Agar 0.5%, 10 Honey Bee Agar 1% and Serrano Tumbo Agar 0.5% - Honey Bee 1% (JEMA). In all media sown by dive and Sabouraud Agar was considered as gold standard. In the macroscopic study of the JEMA Agar (0.5% serrano tumbo - 1% honey), two evaluation dimensions were handled: isolation and visualization of the morphology of the colony; also for the strain of Trichophyton rubrum ATCC 28188 a qualifier of 90% (good) and 10% (regular) was obtained and for the Sabouraud Agar 100% of the qualifier (good). It was concluded that the use of 0.5% Serrano Tumbo - 1% Honey (JEMA Agar) in the detection of Trichophyton rubrum is good.
