The present investigation has like general objective, to determine the level of the styles of thought of the students of the Preuniversity Center of the Inca Garcilaso University of the Vega, period January-February 2019. The study corresponds to a descriptive investigation with a focus quantitative. The design used is non-experimental cross-sectional. The population of the present study consisted of 35 pre-university students, from the Inca Garcilaso de la Vega University. The sample was of census type, considering the total of the population that attends the classroom. For the data collection, the survey was used as a technique and as a tool the Sternberg questionnaire of styles of thought was applied - Wagner short form (1994), adapted by Klatic, (1999). It is established as a conclusion that the predominant style of thought in the students of the Pre-university center of the Inca Garcilaso de la Vega University is the Oligarchic style, Categorized with the "Low Level", where 89% of the sample, externalizes features of this style; meaning this, a lower predilection for multitasking at the same time.
