The objective of this research was to determine the level of diagnostic perception in pulp therapy of clinical students in deciduous dentition at a Peruvian University in 2018. The methodological design was descriptive; the type of research was cross-sectional, prospective qualitative approach. In order to fulfill the general objective of the study, a sample consisting of 100 children's clinic students of the Inca Garcilaso de la Vega University was used, selected in a non-random manner for convenience. The instrument was a questionnaire of 10 questions comprised between 5 diagnostic questions and 5 of pulp treatments. When we obtained the results we observed that from a sample of 100 students it is appreciated that the people of Male sex represent 28% (N ° = 28) and of the Feminine sex they represent 72% (N ° = 72) and that between both clinics he appreciates that the students of Clinic I represent 50% (N ° = 50) and the students of Clinic II represent 50% (N ° = 50). When obtaining the results, it is observed that in the majority they present an Average level in 57% (N ° = 57), in terms of the diagnostic perception the students of clinic I present a Low level of 50% (N ° = 25) and the students of clinic II present an average level of 48% (N ° = 24), in terms of knowledge about pulpal therapies the students of clinical I and II present an average level of 52% (N ° = 26), in Regarding the relationship between diagnosis and pulp treatment in the deciduous dentition, students in Clinic I show a Low level of 30% (N ° = 15), and Clinical II students show an average level of 34% (N ° = 17). ) and in the relation between clinical I and II regarding the level of pulpal diagnostic perception in deciduous dentition, it is observed that both have an average level of 38% (N ° = 19). The investigation reached the conclusion that even in clinical I the students waver in diagnosis, while in clinic II, it manifests a better interpretation to arrive at a correct pulpar diagnosis.
