The objective of the research was to determine the relationship between knowledge of adolescent mothers about newborns and attitudes towards the care of the hospital San Juan de Lurigancho, correlational type, application level, inductive method, non-experimental cross-sectional design. A sample of 98 adolescent mothers and non - probabilistic sampling of a population of 334, taking inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data was collected by means of a questionnaire, adapted from Chapilliquen's research, J. entitled Level of knowledge of adolescent mothers in the newborn care of the INMP and observational guide prepared by the researcher. The validity was thanks to the opinion of 4 expert judges, applying the binomial table with p <0.024, and then a pilot test to 40 teenage mothers, obtaining reliability of 0.74 in KR-20. The results were, the knowledge of adolescent mothers about newborns resulted, mean 66.4%, high 22.4% and low 11.2%. Regarding the attitudes of adolescent mothers, 73.5% were adequate and 26.5% inadequate. Contrasting the hypothesis, there is a relationship between adolescent mothers' knowledge about newborns and attitudes toward care according to Rh de Sperman p <000 and the staff is recommended to improve the quality of attention to adolescent mothers.
