The research titled Public perception of advances in genetics in the quality of human health in students graduate from Garcilaso de la Vega University, It has got as aim to determine the potential social impact of public perception of progress in genetics the quality of human health, on graduate students at the University Inca Garcilaso de La Vega. The descriptive and explanatory design method was used to achieve this objective, a survey of a population consisting of 576 was applied, students enrolled in the 2014-3 academic semester of the Graduate School. The collection instrument was a questionnaire consisted of 30 items of closed type, the same as were emptied into boxes where frequencies and percentages were calculated, complemented by the analysis and interpretation of results, which allowed us to discuss the results. Also, the Public Perception variable was analyzed in three dimensions: interest, knowledge and perception. Finally, it was concluded that the potential social impact of public perception of genetic advances in the quality of human health is high on graduate students at the Inca Garcilaso de la Vega University. The results obtained in the perception dimension show a neutral level and in turn the knowledge dimension is shown to be slightly lower (9,756 grade point average), this related to the little interest of respondents
