The present research work was carried out with the objective of relating the Motivation Factors and Work Performance of the Medical Professionals of Hospital EsSalud Puno 2016. The research design was transectional descriptive. The study sample consisted of 83 physicians; The technique that allowed to obtain information was the Survey and the Instruments the Questionnaire of Motivation of Herzberg and a Scale of Self-evaluation of the Work performance and for the analysis of the data the Pearson Correlation test was used. The results obtained were: Regarding the relationship between extrinsic factors and work performance, 38.6% of physicians with average motivation for company policy, 42.2% for supervision, 31.1% for relationship with supervisor , 38.6% for interpersonal relationships and 34.9% motivated by a low level of working conditions, have a regular work performance. In relation to the intrinsic factors, 31.3% with average motivation for achievement, 30.1% for recognition, 48.2% work itself, in equal proportion growth and promotion have regular work performance, as well as 32.5% with low motivation for responsibility. It is concluded that: most medical professionals have an average level of motivation, which has generated regular to good work performance; While low motivation leads the professional to a regular or poor job performance. Upon obtaining the Pearson Coefficient that is different from 0 (r = 0.613), it determines a moderate positive correlation; Therefore, these values allow to conclude that there is a significant relationship (p = 0.000) between motivation and work performance.
