The present investigation reports the results of the effectiveness of a cognitive behavioral program control beliefs and study habits of students of II cycle of psychology faculty at the University Garcilaso de la Vega. Research and experimental design used is quasi-experimental measurement of a Pre and Post Test group. He was administered the sample a Cognitive Behavioral Program and the Irrational Beliefs Test Jones and inventory study habits Vicuña, instruments to which the respective psychometric analysis was done. The results indicate that the effectiveness of a cognitive behavioral program is positive control beliefs and study habits of students of the second cycle of the School of Psychology at the University Garcilaso de la Vega. Likewise, it was observed that the cognitive behavioral program is positive control beliefs and the behavioral dimensions, academic, time study habits of students of the second cycle of the School of Psychology at the University Garcilaso de la Vega. Furthermore, the CBT program is not positive control beliefs and does not increase the space dimension in the habit of study
