Abstract The present research work called Andean tales as a strategy to revitalize the oral expression of the Quechua language aims to propose educational material to improve Quechua speech based on oral tradition in boys and girls of 3rd and 4th grade. º of primary of the I.E. San Marcos N°. 50507 of the community of Ttiomayo. Andean tales are stories and experiences of our ancestors of oral tradition, little valued in the process of formation, learning and revitalization of the Quechua language. For this reason, this research is carried out to revitalize the Quechua language, recovering these stories and strengthening the cultural identity of the students. The research approach is qualitative and it is a participatory action research, where the students were the protagonists, the parents and grandparents of whom we collected the Andean tales also participated. We worked using instruments such as: observation sheet, language use predisposition sheet, sociolinguistic interviews and learning sessions. The results obtained show that oral learning of the quechua language can be encouraged and the weakness and lack of knowledge of the language and culture found in the initial diagnosis can be overcome. Finally, according to the results of the action, the realization of the podcasts of Andean stories was obtained with the participation of the boys and girls, which made a profound change in the mind and in their speech, possessing a strong cultural and linguistic component.
