Resumen: The research aims to determine the optimal time for reducing vibrations through Elemental Wave analysis in surface mining – 2023. The methodology employed is at an applied level. The most significant result indicates that reducing vibrations in blasting operations at the Antamina mine may have negative impacts on the environment. Through Elemental Wave analysis, detailed information about these vibrations is gathered to determine optimal mitigation times and minimize their effects. The key findings include that Elemental Wave analyses yielded the following delay times between drills: Domain 1 = 17 ms, Domain 2 = 18 ms, Domain 3 = 15 ms, Domain 4 = 16 ms, Domain 5 = 13 ms, Domain 6 = 14 ms, Domain 7 = 13 ms, and Domain 8 = 14 ms. Elemental Wave analyses at different distances [100 - 200] m within the same geotechnical domain yielded similar drill time values. The Elemental Wave results, whether installing geophones at a depth of 0.5 meters or on the surface, showed very similar values. The "Cross_Hole" technique is a tool that allows for a thorough assessment of damage to the rock mass while adjusting the "Damage Criteria as a function of PPV."
