The present research aims to describe how educational distraction and performance factors are perceived in the learning of students of the Ethics in Psychology course of the Psychology career of a private university in Arequipa in the summer-2021 period. The research has a qualitative approach, descriptive scope and phenomenological design. The population was made up of 20 students from the Psychology career. The type of sample was non-probabilistic for convenience, so it was determined to work with 17 students, to whom a semi-structured interview was applied. . According to the sample, educational distractors are significantly present during and after school hours. Family interaction, the emotional stability of the student, the teacher's methodology and the use of technological resources play a fundamental role in student learning. The sample indicates that the situation affecting the country has caused family problems, emotional instability and little adaptation of the teacher's didactics in this virtual modality that has not been making correct use of the various existing technological resources, generating a lack of attention in the student and giving rise to educational distractors preventing their learning from being meaningful. Regarding the different performance factors such as personal, social, institutional and socioeconomic, they perceive significant influence of their personality and motivation that motivates them to meet set goals and to be able to specify their objective that, despite the excess of activities resulting from their training, they specify achievements.
