This research requires the objective of identifying the feelings of the teachers and the coordinator regarding how the application of constructive alignment influences the design of the quantitative reasoning management of the Basic Mathematics course of Engineering careers. The population was made up of 40 teachers and 1 coordinator, who teach in the first semester of the Basic Mathematics career at a Private University in Lima. The methodology develops the qualitative approach, of explanatory scope and phenomenological design. The results show that the teachers and the coordinator perceive that the management of quantitative reasoning presents a constructive alignment; however, when performing the documentary analysis it is evident that this influence is scarce in the course. The lack of sessions dedicated to the management of quantitative reasoning impede its development, thus becoming one of the main drawbacks to applying constructive alignment. The three dimensions of Constructive Alignment jointly and coherently pose the learning achievement of the course, however, despite the preaching of cohesion by the teachers and the coordinator, a lack of knowledge about the correct process of constructive alignment is revealed. It is concluded that the application of constructive alignment in the design of the management of quantitative reasoning is scarce; however, with the implementation of a workshop the aim is to strengthen the planning capacity that is part of the university's teaching profile.
