The following research has the objective to describehow the Blended Learning modality and the learning achievement perception of the students from design major of the Visual Fundamentals 1 course are developed in a private institute of Lima in the 2018-2period. For this study, it was used a sample of 12 students, including both genders and who were enrolled in the Visual Fundamentals 1 course of the design major and for the collecting data, it was used the in-depth interview and focus group techniques. This research presents a qualitative approach with a descriptive scope and phenomenological design that focuses on the subjectivity of the students. According to the results, it was obtained that students perceived the advantage of being able to review the material from each class whenever, wherever and as many times as they wish. On the other hand, they indicated they only used a few tools from the Moodle Platform in their activities and these tools did not generate any interaction among the users. Furthermore, the onsite time was not enough due to a bad distribution of both, face-to-face and virtual activities. It is concluded that Blended Learningmodality in the Visual Fundamentals 1 course offered the possibility to get greater flexibility and autonomy in their cognitive process; however, it became evident the need to make an adjustment regarding the planning and structure of the course fora better functioning, and to optimize the perception of student learning achievement.
