Objective:To establish the relationship between the project management plan and remote work in the commercial area of Universidad Tecnológica del Perú, under the PMBOK Guide approach. Materials and methods:The research is non-experimental and applied, cross-sectional and correlational, with a transeccionalcorrelational design and quantitative approach, based on the fundamentals of the sixth edition of the PMBOK Guide. The population was 204 workers with an adjusted sample of 70 workers in the commercial area at 95% confidence. The following techniques were applied: survey and statistical analysis for information processing through SPSS Statistics 25.0 software where the following statistical tests were used: reliability analysis (Cronbach's alpha) and expert judgment to validate the instrument, linear and multiple regression model for modeling the variables. Results:The model shows a Pearson correlation coefficient or (R) equal to 0.709, which means that the project management plan comprising X1: resource management, X2: quality management, X3: cost management and X4: resource management are 70.9% related to remote work performance, which, according to the scale, indicates a high correlation. On the other hand, the model also indicates us the coefficient of determination or (R2) equal to 0.503 which determines the quality of the model to replicate the results by 50.3% Discussion:TheProject Management Plan has a high correlation with the UTP remote work, with a correlation strength of 70.9% which determines that thePlan we propose under the PMBOK guidelines with the four subsidiary plans have a high impact on the performance of remote work for the higher education sector. This coincides with Medina (2017) since, the application of the methodology for project management has been relevant because the control guidelines during all phases of the project have found an adequate flow of information, the clear definition of the criteria for its execution and the establishment of mechanisms to control all its phases in the development of this.
