The general objective of this research work is to propose a training program on resilience in teachers from an an undergraduate public college program in education in Cusco, during the academic 2020-II. The population was composed by nineteen (19) teachers who went through 3 focus groups and a program designed to have 6 modules. The methodology applied focused on a qualitative approach, an explanatory scope, and a research-action design. Results showed that even at the beginning of the program teachers, intuitevely, showed some behaviors related to resilience: they developed these in a non-integrated way and with different levels of depth, without considering any structure. In some cases there is sorrow for some circumstances in life: more specifically, conditions related to the pandemic we are facing right now. Besides this, there is the culture we are immerse in nowadays, that makes us live at very high speeds, not letting us desacelerate to reflect or re-think our actions. This is having a high toll for teacher’s relationships and overall health. It was concluded that the program allowed teachers to identify and develop behaviors related to categories of resilience. These are: self-knowledge, personal sense of hope, healthy stress-coping skills, strong interpersonal relationships, sense of meaning in life, and skills to shift the quality of their emotions to deal with adverse situations in a healthy way, according to Braden (2014); allowing them to share and experience with these behaviors. In the end, the participants were able to identify tools that with constant practice they might be able to make their own, with which they will be able to live more satisfactorily, being able to cope with adverse situations and emerge strenghtened from them. This is the foundation of the resilient person.
