This research work seeks to determine the feasibility of using the drywall system to improve living conditions through thermal and acoustic comfort in residential buildings, for which the qualitative analysis of the components of the drywall system and how they respond to factors such as heat flow and noise, evaluating particularities such as thermal resistance, noise reduction coefficient, thermal conductivity and sound transmission class.Inductive procedures are used to explain the studied phenomenon allowing the construction of theories, hypotheses and propositions based on existing theoretical frameworks, likewise a pre-structured questionnaire with response alternatives based on the Likert scale is applied in order to obtain the opinion of experts on the application of the drywall system as an option to improve habitability in residential buildings.The results show that the system has a positive impact on habitability, improving the levels of thermal and acoustic comfort, however some components must be replaced to improve the efficiency of the system.Therefore, it is concluded that the drywall system does improve health and comfort conditions, minimum characteristics to achieve habitability conditions in residential buildings.
