research entitled “Influence of mechanical ventilation on the performance of workers and the decrease of the accident rate in the Peyols Contractors - La Rinconada, Puno mining unit of the problem suffered by a conventional mining company, which has a general objective of assessing the influence of mechanical ventilation on the performance of workers and the decrease in the accident rate produced by gases, whose work is carried out under a methodology of a kind of explanatory research and a control group design with specific posttest (Campbell and Stanley). Whose methodology was to evaluate two galleries with different conditions, with different fans, with the same number of workers and the same benefits and see the difference if the ventilation influences or not, for which 5 fans were installed in the first and only 2 fans in the second Coming to the following conclusion: ventilation influences worker performance; in the gallery without ventilation the hourly performance is 0.83 ton / hour and in the gallery with ventilation the performance is 1.07 ton / hour, that is to say better ventilation will improve 0.24 ton / hour. Regarding the Accident Rate the results were: in the gallery with ventilation a factor of 3.72 was obtained and in the gallery without ventilation there is a factor of 10.91 it is concluded that, better ventilation decreased the index by a factor of 7.19 and the degree from indices of an average of 14 to an average of 7 incidents.
