The present research work determines that the use of mechanical splices contributes to themanagement of the project“Ampliación 03 de la Universidad Tecnológica del Perú (UTP) sede de Villa El Salvador”incost, time and quality. In the construction process we saw the need to use mechanical connectors in an area where no steel was found to overlap the vertical elements of the project, this decision was approved in conjunctionwith the supervision, owner and construction company. This situation generated an additional cost, time and quality were analyzed. The times requested by the owner for the execution of the project were met, the control of the variation in costs due to theuse of mechanical splices in replacement of splices due to overlaps and the improvement in the quality of the construction process was decisive in the results of the project management. The mitigation of the social impact was also another ofthe determining factors, since by avoiding the demolitionoflaboratory structures in full operation of the educational center, users were not affected in the same intensity. We also want to spread the word about the use of mechanical connectors in buildings, which helps us respond to different types of projects such as: project expansion, newprojects, restoration and / or building repairs.
