The present research work is elaborated to know the high nutritional value of the Cañihua compared to another Andean cereal such as quinoa, to know the departments where the greatest cultivation of the product is carried out, to know the different properties that the Cañihua has, the different varieties that This Andean grain has, the harvest time that this product demands, in addition to knowing about the problems that Cañihua has in harvest times, to make known Cañihua exports to Japan from 2012 to 2017. Also, explain the advantages that It has the Peru-Japan free trade agreement. For exports of this Andean grain. The Cañihua is an Andean cereal that through the years the hectares destined for the harvest of this product are decreasing since artisanal techniques are used for the harvesting of this grain, they do not have uniformity of maturity, and for that reason the farmers have to make up to three harvests to be able to offer them in the market, the climate factor is another problem since the harvest seasons for this grain are between the months of March and April, the frost season that complicates accessibility to these areas and being able to collect them. The amount collected only supplies the national market for the most part and there is very little left to be able to export it. Therefore, the State cannot promote this product since it does not have a constant and sustained production; which means that we do not have an exportable offer.
