The purpose of this professional proficiency report to choose the professional title of Systems Engineer and Computer Science is to determine whether ITIL best practices allow improving the management of incidents in a Beauty Products company. The variables identified in this report are ITIL and Incident Management. According to the objective of the investigation, the type of the present work is basic, since the information of the tickets (incidents and requirements) are filtered and downloaded monthly without modifications to prepare the management report and evaluate the compliance of the SLAs. Of quantitative approach because through the information downloaded with monthly frequency we can know how many tickets the SLA met, how many lost tickets, how many tickets derived, total number of incidents, total amount of requirements in the month. This numerical measurement allows to perform a statistical analysis. Explanatory level where the causes of the events are explained, the reason for the loss of the SLAs of the incidents tickets and that when applying the ITIL practices allow to improve the incident management. The population investigated is considered as a sample to the entire population, because it is made up of all the users of the main headquarters, made up of 1000 users. In this sense, one of the recommendations provided in the professional sufficiency work report is to schedule ongoing training to the site support team in order to achieve a higher level of specialization in ITIL version 3 that allows generating an environment where the ITIL good practices. In this way, a level of maturity can be achieved to better meet the needs of the client and users. Finally, in the present work, we come to the following conclusion that ITIL best practices allow improving the management of incidents in a Beauty Products company. The ITIL good practices change the way support analysts work, significantly improving incident management, when evaluating management reports and compliance with SLAs, evidencing a reduction in solution times and ticket attention times.
