In the present work, the methodology of methods engineering was implemented in the process of expanding drinking water and sewerage networks with home connection to increase the productivity of the consulting company and executor in works PROJECTPERU SAC. Based on the objectives set out in the first place, an initial diagnosis was made, with the help of the PDO and DAP diagrams, the current work method was analyzed, then the causes of low productivity were detected with engineering tools such as the Ishikawa diagram, Paretto diagram that identified the following causes, lack of an undefined work process, lack of standardization of times, personnel with little experience, procedural errors and forgetfulness of tools or materials among others, then proceeded to select the processes with the lowest productivity of the entire macro process that makes it up, in this way we obtained the current indicators that until now the company did not have. Then based on the procedure of the methods engineering methodology proceeded to design and implement a new work method, the standard time was taken and improved, the staff was trained to avoid procedural errors and lack of experience and teach the new method and working time, thanks to this it was possible to increase productivity from 79% to 88%, reduce the standard time of the selected processes, greatly reduce the causes of low productivity found, obtaining a cost benefit of S/2.67 for each sun invested in the improvement and a saving of S/7,645.60 in terms of labor for each project executed.
