In the company CBI Peruana S.A.C. approximately 95% of reported accidents and incidents are caused by negligent attitudes, personal carelessness, thinking in a traditional way, that someone has to take care of them, that to comply with the rules and safety signs someone It has to be forcing them, so the need arises to implement a safety program based on I CARE behavior as an industrial safety policy applied to all personnel working at the headquarters of the Arequipa Region. In this context, we carried out the present research work, supported as the application of the I CARE in CBI Peruana S.A.C. Company. For which we consider ourselves as the main problem. What is the level of effectiveness of the safety program based on behavior “I CARE” in the reduction of accidents in the company CBI Peruana S.A.C.? . And to respond, a whole research process was developed. For the development of the research, we decided to carry out a quasi-experimental study with a Transectional design of a group with pre-test and post-test, considering as a sample all the personnel that work in the company. In this orientation activities were planned, which have been initiated with the training of safety supervisors in the management of the observation instrument called "I CARE behavior observation sheet" provided by the company, already validated and used by the company in other venues. Then the initial observation was made in a week. Then the staff participated in the talks and training workshops by areas, and systematic observations for feedback and reinforcement of safe behaviors. And as part of the investigation, after six months of application of the program, the final observation was made using the same instrument used in the initial observation and always in charge of the same security supervisors, whose data have been compared and analyzed as a result of the investigation. As the management model on which the program is based is the observation of the person in the fulfillment of the tasks, for the present investigation the observation has been made in ten work situations or tasks: Barricades Installation, Order and cleaning, excavations, ATS (Safe Work Analysis), Fire Prevention, Use of Ladders, Use of Hand Tools, Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Pulleys-cranes-equipment, Welding and cutting. That, they were observed using the I CARE behavior file, of dichotomous rating: Safe and insecure. And as a conclusion we can affirm that the application of the Safety Program Based on Behavior I CARE, in the Peruvian CBI company with Arequipa headquarters, is effective for the reduction of work accidents, modifying its behavior in the face of safety issues at work.
