The current research aims to investigate how virtual education in the context of Covid-19 causes academic stress in sixth-cycle students of the Architectural Design course of the Professional School of Architecture at a Private University of Piura, in 2020-II . The population was composed of 40 students of the Professional School of Architecture of the Architectural Design course. The sample was made up of 16 students of both genres. The methodology used in this research is a qualitative study, explanatory scope and phenomenological design. The results showed that virtual education in the context of Covid-19 causes academic stress in sixth cycle students of the Architectural Design course of the Professional School of Architecture, due to the presence of academic stressors such as the lack of internet connections , the overload of tasks and work, the excessive hours that students spend in front of their computer, ignorance of the use of digital tools, the lack of empathy of their teachers, absence of interactive classes, among others. It concludes that virtual education in the context of Covid-19 causes the appearance of academic stress in students that present various physical, psychological and / or behavioral symptoms.
