The present investigation analyzes and evaluates vibrations with respect to load and distance. The detonation of a commercial explosive generates an energy responsible for the optimal fracturing of rocks, which is the priority of surface mining, but a percentage of this energy, called non-useful or that does not generate work, causes a disturbance on structures or facilities within the mining unit. Under this context the main objective of this research project is to develop a vibration modeling through monitoring recorded by the company to generate a damage control, based on the devine model to predict the peak particle velocity (Vpp). By developing the proposed methodology we were able to generate a vibration modeling that was reflected in a graph with the different speeds around the load, as well as establishing a limit for these vibrations determined by the international standard United States Bureau of Mines (USBM RI8507), with which the mining unit works. We concluded that by obtaining a peak particle velocity (Vpp) of 21.00 mm/s with loads up to 1200 kg, they do not generate any damage to nearby structures or facilities in the mining company, which has facilities from 1000 meters onwards. Finally, we recommend to constantly evaluate the load to be used in subsequent operations so that these do not exceed the established limits and thus generate a constant control over possible damage in the mine.
