Current trends, globalization and information and communication technologies (ICTs) are of great relevance today in the business world; for this reason, the most competitive companies in the market make constant use of technological tools in their processes and activities. Likewise, the rise of new technologies presents a great challenge for micro and small companies (Mypes) regarding their development, competition and permanence in the market, but at the same time, they constitute a great advantage if technological instruments are used properly. In this sense, the objective of this research work is to provide information about how the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) affects the business competitiveness of micro and small companies (Mypes). To achieve this objective, the literature review methodology was used, which consists of six stages. Likewise, by reviewing the literature, the results obtained are oriented towards the four dimensions of competitiveness considered in the study. Lastly, it is concluded that information and communication technologies positively influence the business competitiveness of micro and small companies.
