The main objective of this research project is to describe the use of the platform Write & Improve (W & I) for the development of the written production in undergraduate students of the subject of Basic English in a private university in Lima at its Lima campus during the term 2020-I. To that end, we have selected a representative sample of 10 students within a population of 74 students majoring in Engineering, Communications and Management. This research study sets out a qualitative approach, a descriptive scope and a phenomenological design. The results revealed that the students perceive a considerable improvement in their writing process, evincing cohesion, coherence and appropriacy in their texts thanks to the analysis promoted by the use of the tools of the platform W & I. Therefore, it is concluded that the use of the platform W & I is relevant because it favors the teacher on his/ her role as facilitator and the students since it benefits the development of their written production. Students expressed that the frequent practice improved their writing process and the evaluation provided by the platform facilitated self-correction and helped them identify their mistakes in terms of coherence, cohesion and appropriacy in the entire text. In addition, the feedback provided by the platform fostered autonomy making students responsible for their own learning and assisted them in enhancing their written production by considering the audience and presenting texts with a logical order, variety of connectives, clear and precise intention of the message.
