The main objective was to establish the relationship between the relationship between professional identity and sources of work pressure in teachers of public secondary educational institutions in the district of Barranco. The design was correlational. The sample was probabilistic and conformed for 157 teachers. The Professional Identity Questionnaire and the Inventory of Occupational Pressure Sources were applied. The results indicated that the sample has a level below the average of professional identity and in the same way in the sources of labor pressure. Likewise, identification with the professional group was found to be significantly and inversely related to most sources of work pressure. On the other hand, there were no significant correlations between perception of status and professional prestige and sources of work pressure. It is concluded that the professional identity is not related significantly to the sources of labor pressure. The implications of the results have been discussed.
