The present work of professional sufficiency, has the purpose of designing a didactic proposal that when implemented will promote the development of the mathematical competencies of the first-year high school students of a public educational institution by agreement in Islay - Arequipa. In the planning design, the Humanist Sociocognitive Paradigm of: Jean Piaget, David Ausubel and Jerome Bruner (cognitive), Lev Vygotsky and Reuven Feuerstein (social and cultural), Robert Sternberg, Martiniano Román and Eloísa Diez (Theory of Intelligence), who with their contributions have contributed to the understanding of the learning process. Through the proposed activities, the student will develop their mathematical skills, abilities and competencies, in the same way attitudes and values that allow them to coexist harmoniously in a changing society full of challenges. Thus, this proposal contains in the first chapter the planning of professional sufficiency work, in the second the theoretical framework and as the last chapter the curricular programming.
