Efecto del programa de educación ambiental sobre la actitud hacia el medio ambiente en niños de inicial en una institución educativa privada

Abstract

Este estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar el efecto del programa de Educación ambiental (PEANI) sobre la actitud hacia el medio ambiente en niños de educación inicial de una institución privada. El tipo de investigación es aplicada y el diseño pre experimental. La muestra estuvo constituida por 50 niños entre hombres y mujeres. Se utilizó el Cuestionario sobre medio ambiente para niños de inicial (CANI). Este instrumento fue construido para la presente investigación y sometido a criterio de jueces. La validez se realizó con el análisis de ítems mediante la correlación ítem-test de Pearson corregida, la cual permitió establecer correlaciones que van desde 0.364 (p < .001) hasta 0.639 (p < .001) y la confiabilidad se halló con el estadístico del Alpha de Cronbach con el valor de ,932. Los resultados revelan que existen diferencias significativas entre los niveles de actitud hacia el medio ambiente, antes y después de aplicar un programa de educación ambiental (PEANI) en los niños inicial de una institución privada.

The objective of this study was to determine the effect of the Environmental Education Program (Programa de Educación Ambiental - PEANI) on the attitude towards the environment from children in private Early-Education institution. The type of investigation is applied, and the design was pre-experimental. The sample population had a size of 50 children, male and female. We use The Questionnaire on the Environment for Early-Education children (Cuestionario sobre medio ambiente para niños de inicial - CANI), which was constructed for the present investigation and subjected to judge´s criteria. The validity was obtained with the item analysis through the item-test correlation of the Pearson correlation, which allowed to establish correlations from 0.364 (p < .001) to 0.639 (p < .001), and the confidence was found through Cronbach’s Alpha with a value of 0.932. The results show that there exist significative differences between the attitude levels towards the environment, prior and post implementing a program of environmental education (PEANI) for children in private Early-Education institution.
