Inteligencia emocional en docentes de una institución educativa de Huánuco

Abstract

La presente investigación tiene como objetivo describir la inteligencia emocional en docentes del distrito de Huánuco. Este estudio es de un nivel descriptivo simple con enfoque cuantitativo y diseño no experimental. La población estuvo constituida por 60 docentes de los tres niveles de una Institución educativa privada de Huánuco. El instrumento empleado en esta investigación fue el Inventario de Coeficiente Emocional de Bar-0n ICE, adaptado para el contexto peruano por la Dra. Nelly Ugarriza (2001). Los resultados obtenidos evidencian que, a nivel general, el 63% de los docentes alcanza un nivel muy alto de inteligencia emocional, mientras que un 23% se encuentran en un nivel alto; un 0% en nivel promedio; un 12% en nivel bajo y un 2% en nivel muy bajo. Se concluye que los docentes tienen un buen desarrollo de su inteligencia emocional.

The objective of this research is to describe the emotional intelligence of teachers in the district of Hu·nuco. This is a simple descriptive study with a quantitative approach and a non-experimental design. The population consisted of 60 teachers of the three levels of a private educational institution in Huanuco. The instrument used in this research was the Bar-0n ICE Emotional Coefficient Inventory, adapted for the Peruvian context by Dr. Nelly Ugarriza (2001). The results obtained show that at a general level, 63% of the teachers reach a very high level of emotional intelligence, while 23% are at a high level, 0% at an average level, 12% at a low level and 2% at a very low level. It is concluded that teachers have a good development of their emotional intelligence.
