Abstract: La investigación tuvo como objetivo establecer el nivel de estrés académico de los estudiantes
de tres universidades privadas de Lima, de desarrolló una investigación básica de enfoque
cuantitativo y diseño no experimental descriptivo puro. El muestreo fue no probabilístico por
conveniencia, la muestra estuvo conformada por 80 estudiantes de tres universidades privadas
de Lima, el 63% fueron mujeres y el 37% varones; se empleó como instrumento el inventario
SISCO para medir el nivel de estrés académico (Barrasa, 2006) , se encontró que el 41.3%de
universitarios presenta un nivel medio de estrés académico más del 47% niveles de estrés entre
medianamente altos y altos y que menos del 10% de estos estudiantes presentan niveles bajos
de estrés académico. Se concluye que el 100 % de los estudiantes que participaron de la
investigación experimentó momentos de preocupación o nerviosismo (estrés académico)
durante el transcurso del semestre.
The objective of the research was to establish the level of academic stress of the students of three private universities in Lima, developing a basic research with a quantitative approach and a pure descriptive non-experimental design.
