The present research work tries to determine the relation between the teaching performance with the significant learning of the students of the Professional School of Stomatology of the Alas Peruanas University, 2018. The proposed methodological design for the development of this research responds to the quantitative, descriptive and non-experimental design approach of cross-sectional and correlational, with a population consisting of 335 and a representative sample of 144 students of the Professional School of Stomatology of the Alas Peruanas University key words educational Performance and significant learning. The results obtained were analyzed at the descriptive level and at the inferential level according to the objectives and hypotheses formulated. The calculation of the Pearson correlation coefficient is r = 0.753, this statistic is significant with 99% confidence. Its value is close to one, it is also positive. Then the degree of correlation between the variable’s teacher performance and significant learning; according to Hernández Sampieri's chart, it is a considerable positive correlation, according to the correlation indexes. It is observed that the P value (bilateral sign), p = 0.000 is less than 0.05, then at a 5% confidence level and a probability of certainty of 99%, the Ho (Null hypothesis) is rejected. In this sense, the Alternate Hypothesis is accepted: phi != 0 , so there is enough evidence to indicate that "the teaching performance is directly related to the significant learning of the students of the Professional School of Dentistry of the University Alas Peruanas, 2018. " Therefore, it is inferred that it is true. Key words: Teacher performance and meaningful learning.
