In this research we sought to determine the relationship between study habits and academic performance in students of the VI cycle of dentistry at the Universidad Peruana Los Andes. The scientific method was applied, with a quantitative approach, the type of study was descriptive, correlational level, with non-experimental design, cross-sectional. It was applied to a population of 63 students belonging to the VI cycle of the 2019-I academic period, belonging to the Professional School of Dentistry. As can be seen, the correlation coefficient according to Pearson is r = 0.711; It is strong and meaningful. (p ≤ 0.05), that is to say that according to Pearson there is a relationship between academic performance and study habits. The observed value of p is less than 0.05, therefore the alternate hypothesis of correlation ≠ 0 is accepted, and it is concluded that there is a relationship between academic performance and study habits that is strong and significant enough directly to determine that these two variables they are related, that is to say that the better the study habits the better the academic performance level, or vice versa, the worse the study habits the lower the academic performance.
