The present research seeks to establish the influence of the use of the Moodle virtual platform for the learning of basic epidemiology in health professionals, 2017. The research is a quantitative approach of hypothetical deductive type, with an experimental design of preexperimental type. The sample and population consisted of 170 health professionals. The obtained result indicates that the use of the Moodle platform influences the learning of the Basic Epidemiology in health professionals, MINSA - 2017, when the experimental group is located in the posttest phase in the level achieved (52.4%) and a range average (42.00), a result that was corroborated by the Wilcoxon W Test (Z = -8.452, p = .000 <.05); therefore, the categorical scores of the experimental group differ significantly between the pretest and posttest phases, this difference is due to the advantages offered by the Moodle platform to advise, guide and accompany the participants in relation to epidemiological knowledge and the application of concepts in solving practical problems. Keywords: Moodle platform, learning of basic epidemiology, knowledge of epidemiology, application of concepts in solving practical problems.
