This research was carried out in the Structures Laboratory of the, province of Trujillo in the year 2018, in a time of three months. The purpose of this research is to establish the parameters of resistance to lateral cutting and stiffness in order to reduce the vulnerability of homes and buildings in general, in areas with risks of natural phenomena such as earthquakes. This research is experimental, because the variable is being manipulated intentionally. It is also pure experiment, because it meets the two main requirements that are the control and internal validity, in addition to an independent variable that in this case is the intermediate reinforced concrete beam and two dependent variables that are the resistance and rigidity side. Its population is nine test pieces, which are the confined walls, made according to the E070 standard of Masonry, the study unit is a test tube, specifically a confined wall. For the collection of data, an observation guide of own elaboration and reviewed by a specialist was used, where the resistance and lateral stiffness of each test piece was recorded. For the analysis of the collected data, the inferential statistic was used, from which the analysis of variance instrument (ANAVA) was used. It was possible to carry out the analysis of the resistance to the cut and the lateral rigidity of the walls tested in the laboratory of structures of the National University of Trujillo, for which the monotonicly increasing lateral load test had to be carried out and finally the correlations between lateral load and lateral displacement to obtain the resistance to the cut and lateral rigidity.
