Faced with the problem of the high prevalence of urinary infections in the population, the discomfort that afflicts them, the high cost to public health and pharmacological resistance, the alternative of using Phytotherapy for their treatment arises. The purpose of the research carried out was to know the use of Phytotherapy in the treatment of urinary infections in the population of the district of Los Olivos- Lima 2023. The research design is descriptive, transversal, non-experimental, in a sample made up of 385 volunteer people. A validated survey was used to collect data. The data obtained were entered to be tabulated in the Microsoft Excel program. The results showed that the most used medicinal plant is “horsetail” (57.4%); most of the participating population uses the entire plant as a treatment for urinary infections (46.5%); in terms of the approximate amount in grams Most of them use 30 grams of the medicinal plant (46.2%), the most used method of preparation is infusion or crushing (47.8%). The majority indicate that they have not suffered any adverse reaction when consuming medicinal plants (72.2%); The main symptom of suspected urinary infection was a burning or painful sensation when urinating (49.1%). Furthermore, when faced with the appearance of an episode of urinary infection, 67% of the participants went to the pharmacy, and 60.3% preferred to take a medication as a treatment for urinary infections.
