Currently, one of the most recurrent situations that occur in construction projects is non-compliance with the proposed and/or contractual schedule, therefore, this implies an increase in costs. This situation shows poor planning at the beginning of the project, but it is not everything, in the monitoring and control stage there is also inadequate management of the schedule. The present investigation is developed in the Project “Construction of drainage tunnel“, executed by the Cía. Subterránea Drilling S.A.C., located in the department of Huánuco at an altitude of 2,370 meters above sea level. This tunnel construction project is carried out under geological conditions of high uncertainty, since it only has preliminary studies and added to the urgency of its execution by the owner, they create a scenario where, if the scope is not adequately defined, accompanied of a correctly structured schedule, it could lead to non-compliance with the deliverables and cost overruns assumed by the constructor. Therefore, in the present investigation, the techniques of forensic analysis of schedules and their applicability in the control and monitoring of this project are approved and, in turn, it is correlated with the indicators of earned value and earned schedule. These analysis techniques and metrics will allow the builder to have a clear idea of how the project is being executed and will allow an objective analysis in decision making, when situations of delays and/or cost overruns arise. The technique of forensic analysis of schedules and other techniques applied in the present research study do not cover all the factors that negatively affect the execution of the project in terms of time and cost, but they do allow us with certain reliability to reduce the risks and adverse impacts.
