In some hamlets and/or sectors there was already a piped or drinking water service and sewerage in others only latrines, however mainly the drinking water system was deficient due to lack of sources from which this liquid can be extracted and that guarantee sustainability of said service during all seasons of the year, for which the need to build a Drinking Water and Sanitation system was urgent, this would be achieved by integrating said hamlets, populated centers and sectors, implementing a source of liquid that guarantees demand in most critical times, especially in times of drought, a pipeline, adduction, drinking water treatment, and distribution networks, as well as the construction of a new sewage system, basic sanitation units, and wastewater treatment plants . This investigation began with its execution as planned and progressed according to the projections that had been made, until the personnel found solid rock in some sections of the installation of the water lines, but the work continued despite that plus, the operating costs were increasing and the work was delayed because it was not possible to attack other fronts, since the machinery and personnel were attacking the rocky front. It was decided then for the use of explosives for the advance of these fronts, more with the fact that there were no personnel with experience in the use of these, the blasting was carried out by trial and error (empirically) in such a way that this method was ineffective. The entry of personnel with knowledge of blasting methods and their analyzes was necessary to obtain the desired results and complete the work in the estimated time. For this reason, it was necessary to compare the design versus the empirical method in blasting to obtain better production results in rocky trenches, where it was found that the design (planned blasting) is the best option to carry out adequate production in rocky trenches and also avoid high costs and benefit the hamlets, populated centers and sectors of the study area.
